How to make a Christmas tree from plasticine with your own hands using scissors

Take a piece of green plasticine, heat it up and knead it with your hands to make sculpting more convenient and easier. Then roll it into a cone. It’s okay if the cone turns out to be not completely even, it won’t ruin the craft.

Use small scissors to make small cuts. Starting from the top, cut the plasticine in a circular manner, gradually going down.

Make a star from plasticine of a different color and place it on the top of the tree. Decorate the branches with multi-colored balls.

Here is the finished tree. It wasn’t difficult at all, but it turned out so beautifully!

Here's another way to make a three-dimensional plasticine Christmas tree. This time you will need thick cardboard.

Roll a piece of cardboard into a pointed cone. It is used as a blank for future crafts. Next, cover the base cone with green plasticine. Sculpt embossed protrusions to make it more beautiful.

The tree itself is already ready, but you can make it better. Decorate the craft to your liking using colored plasticine and glitter. Make garlands, icicles and balls and attach them to the product.

This miniature Christmas tree looks much more picturesque thanks to the combination of different shades of green. To make it, mix green plasticine with a small amount of black and white in advance to get dark and light shades. Knead the material well until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

Cut the puff piece into pieces - the details of our Christmas tree.

Make a plasticine cone. It will serve as a frame for the craft. Attach the blanks to it, starting from the bottom.

Decorations are made like needles: roll up a puff tube from multi-colored plasticine and cut it into thin circles.

This tree is assembled from just a few parts. Make a stump stand from a small piece of brown plasticine. It should be wide and sufficiently stable. Insert a toothpick into the stump - it will be the axis for your craft.

Next, prepare three cone-shaped pieces of different sizes. Flatten each one slightly and stick onto a toothpick, starting with the largest and ending with the smallest. If desired, you can make a larger number of smaller fragments, then the Christmas tree will come out fluffier.

Using a toothpick to make grooves on the plasticine, draw pine branches. You can draw any other pattern you like.

Christmas tree applique.

After numerous options for voluminous Christmas tree figures, let’s devote a little time to a picture made of plasticine and pine needles. Such a wonderful picture can be framed, pre-packed in transparent film to prevent needles from falling off, and hung on the wall. An applique, especially made by the hands of a loving child, will be an excellent gift or a memorable element of your home decor.

The basis for the craft can be cardboard, thick paper, or even better - tinted paper. If you can’t find colored cardboard, you can paint white cardboard in any color using gouache or watercolor paints.

Sketch on paper the outline of the future picture - an image of a Christmas tree. Add more details at your discretion: clouds, sun or moon, snowdrifts or green grass. The composition may contain several trees at once.

Now that the outline is ready, paste the plasticine parts over the elements of the picture. Having finished with this, you can begin landscaping the spruce branches with natural fallen needles. Cover the Christmas tree with pine needles, gluing it onto plasticine.

A DIY plasticine Christmas tree does not have to be prickly. Needles can simply be shown by drawing a suitable pattern on a soft mass. But you can’t do without green color and Christmas tree decorations. Everyone loves to decorate a Christmas tree. I suggest you make balls and tinsel from multi-colored beads. They stick perfectly to plasticine, just make sure that the child does not swallow small parts. Guided by my recommendations, you can fantasize and have fun. Now let’s learn more about what is needed for the job and how to do it.

How to make a Christmas tree from plasticine (step by step)

To sculpt a Christmas tree decorated with beads, you will need:

  • green and brown plasticine - you can take several shades of green, most likely, one block will not be enough for you, and replace brown with any other color, even mixed (the mass will be hidden under the crown);
  • a lid as the stem of a tree - you can take waste material of any color, here we used a ketchup lid;
  • skewer - you can also take a toothpick, this part will serve as an axis, make the craft stable and make it easier to work with plasticine;
  • small beads and a needle and thread for tinsel;
  • large beads to imitate Christmas balls of different colors;
  • stack for drawing needles.

Manufacturing process:

Take absolutely any (cheapest) plasticine to work with. If it is too dense, the finished product will hold its shape longer.

Fill the lid with brown or damaged plasticine. Press the mixture on top with your finger so that it sticks to the plastic. Insert a skewer into the center. This will be a stable base for the axle craft.

Mash the entire brown block in your hands.

Pull into a cone. This is exactly the shape a Christmas tree should have. The surface of the cone can be smoothed or left rough.

Pierce the brown plasticine with the tip of a skewer and pull it through to the end. If the skewer is too long, simply break off the excess.

Divide the green pieces into approximately equal-sized slices. Mash each of them separately in your hands.

Make flat teardrop-shaped cakes out of each green piece.

With a stack, set the texture of the needles; for this, often apply strips with the sharp end of the tool.

Start attaching the parts around the circumference, starting from the bottom. Attach end-to-end without leaving gaps.

Fill the entire cone with green branches. As you move up, you will decide if you have enough details. Initially completed blanks may not be enough for you, they can be completed in the process. Sharpen the top.

Thread beads onto the thread. Wrap the resulting beads around the crown of the Christmas tree as tinsel. The ends of the thread can simply be inserted into the plasticine by pressing with a stack.

Add balls-beads and on top of the bead in the form of an asterisk. If there is no finished asterisk, then blind it from orange plasticine. Toys can be chosen the same color or different, alternating shades.

To sculpt a Christmas tree from plasticine with your own hands you will need:

- plasticine – brown, green and any three bright colors;
- toothpick or thin twig;
- plastic knife;
- plastic rolling pin.

How to make a Christmas tree from plasticine:

From brown plasticine, form the base for the Christmas tree - a pot. First roll the ball, then give it the shape of a cylinder, slightly tapering on one side.

Make a border for the pot. To do this, roll a thin sausage from brown plasticine.

Try it on the pot and trim off the excess.

Using a knife, make shallow notches on the edging.
By the way, if you like to do something together with your baby, we suggest building one, near which you can put a plasticine Christmas tree.

Let's start sculpting the “branches” of the Christmas tree from plasticine.
Roll out a thick sausage from green plasticine and divide it into three parts, each of which should be slightly larger than the previous one.

Roll each piece into a neat ball.

We form tiers. Roll each ball into a thin pancake with a rolling pin. Place your little finger in the center of the pancake and form a bulge, as in the photo.

Next, in our master class for children on making a Christmas tree from plasticine, you need to make the remaining two pancakes. Insert a toothpick or twig into the center of the pot. Be careful so that your baby doesn't get hurt!

Secure the three green tiers onto a toothpick, starting with the largest one at the bottom.

Make balls from plasticine of a contrasting color and decorate the top of the Christmas tree. Or make a traditional red star.

All that remains is to decorate the Christmas tree made of plasticine, made with your own hands, with beads and balls of bright colors. It is very convenient to secure such small parts with a toothpick.

Step-by-step photo lesson:

The green color plate is necessary directly for creating the crown of the Christmas tree. In this case, both light and dark shades are suitable. Be sure to prepare initially a knife-stack, since in the process of work you will have to create an imitation of a prickly crown.

Soften the green mass.

Pressing the formed lump to a hard surface, pull the prepared mass into a long twine. It is advisable to make one side narrower.

Make a cone from paper or cardboard that will become a template for the tree. The ends of the paper can be secured very quickly using a stapler.

Starting at the bottom, wrap the wider end of the long green twine around the cone. Moving up, you will see that you will have a cone-shaped product - the crown of a New Year's tree. After this, the paper can be removed.

Form a cylinder-barrel from brown plasticine. Insert the barrel into the hole in the crown cone.

Carefully make notches along the entire green surface of the Christmas tree in a stack to show the needles.

From bright pieces - orange, red, yellow - roll a lot of small beads.

Glue beads as balls to decorate the Christmas tree in any way you like.

And the final stage of decoration is a high icicle top. Make it from a yellow plate or any other color and attach it to the top of the spruce.

That's all. The Christmas tree with plasticine toys is ready, and you can continue preparing for the New Year.
