Oval bag made of satin ribbons diagram. Master classes - knitting a bag from satin ribbon

Advice from Murochka - I use about 150-300 m of ribbon 1 cm wide for handbags.

It all depends on the size, for example, the last one took 7 skeins of 33 m each, hook 5. I tie the edge of the bottom with a crawfish step, laying a crossbar (whalebone). I do the same with the top contour of the handbag.

The clasp on handbags is a magnetic button (it is not visible, because it is always hidden under decorative elements). Magnetic buttons are best hidden under decor. And I almost always knit the handle with a caterpillar cord and sometimes with a step stitch (as in the last two bags). I knit from satin ribbon, the other side of which is matte. I haven’t seen another one in our stores. But it doesn't matter, because... When knitting, an interesting effect is obtained.

I mainly sew knitted handles with monofilament. But you can plant them
on detachable rings - very convenient and reliable. The semicircle of the bag itself is 10 rows. The “tongue” turned out to be 19 loops wide, 13 rows long, the last 5 rows with decreases. I attached it in the same way as the sides. The first row of the “tongue” was pulled out by clinging from the wrong side to the loops of the back half of the bag of the row with which the regiline was tied with a “crawfish step”.

When one bobbin ends, I tie a knot at the beginning of the second bobbin (as when knitting with yarn). I singe the ends of the tape and hide them inside. You can fold the ribbon in half so that the matte side of the ribbon is not visible. You can also knit from ribbons 6 mm wide in two folds, then it turns out even tougher. And the rigidity also depends on the tape itself, there are soft tapes and there are hard ones. I knit with double crochet stitches. The width of the side panels can be different (from 2 to 6 double crochets).
It depends on the size of the handbag, model, and the presence of ribbons. I don’t make linings for handbags; the inside looks the same as the outside, only, of course, without decoration. I try to work carefully, all the “tails” are hidden so that it is difficult (almost impossible) to find them. And I make internal knitted pockets for all handbags, except small and evening ones.

Step-by-step form of a "carpet".

All knitting is double crochet.
1. We knit a semicircle (the number of rows is arbitrary, depending on what size you want to get.
2. From the bottom (straight) part of the semicircle, pick up loops and knit 5-10 (again, it all depends on the desired shape) rows exactly.
3. We knit 1 row along the contour of the resulting shape, lay a crossbar along it and tie it with a crab step.
4. You can read how to knit the sides and finish the handbag in the 4th master class on my website, the principle is the same. Here we just add a free-form valve. Well, handles are also optional - ready-made, knitted, made from chains, etc.
About pockets - I knit from ribbons and sew on.
About embroidery - of course, nothing should be visible from the reverse side.
If the embroidery is like this, then I knit another circle and sew it on the inside; if it’s on the valve, then I knit another piece according to the size of the valve and connect them in a crawfish step. All irregularities go away after steaming.

I would recommend everything ponytails first scorch it (so that the tape does not split), then hide it, and then secure it with matching thread or, better yet, with monofilament, because the tape has a tendency to slip and the tails will eventually begin to protrude again..

About the quality of tapes -The end of the tape in each reel is usually covered with a small piece of tape.

If this tape is not transparent, but has acquired the tint of tape, this is your first sign.
Or take a piece of cotton wool with you and rub the tape with it.

Round bag made of satin ribbons - from here

The handbag is crocheted.

You will need: about 400 m of white satin ribbons 7 mm wide for knitting, 50 m of satin ribbons 12 mm wide in white, pink and cream colors for embroidery; 3 applications of ribbons in the form of roses with leaves; lace braid 1 m long; crossbar 2 m long; pearl-like beads, orange and red beads; bobbin threads; lining fabric; magnetic button for fastening; 4 metal rings for pens with a diameter of 4 cm; hook No. 4.5; embroidery needle.

Completing of the work

Start work by making 2 round parts with a diameter of 25 cm. To do this, tie the first row of 12 C1H into a ring of 5 VPs. Continue working according to pattern 3, performing 12 increases in each row, distributing them evenly across the fabric. Close the first and last C1H of each row with a connecting loop, and at the beginning of the row do 3 VP lifts.

Decorate the front part with embroidery. To do this, first baste a slightly gathered lace braid along the contour of the circle and mark the location of the “roses” composition. As a guide, use Figure 3, which schematically shows the location of individual motifs and embroidery elements: 1 - spider web rose, 2 - soft twisted rose, complex rose, 3 - “rose with leaves” applique, 4 - “pearl” beads. Embroider white roses - cobwebs of equal diameter along the perimeter of the lace outline. In the center of the composition, place a “bouquet” of soft twisted roses and small-diameter cobweb roses. Sew ready-made roses with leaves into the middle of the large roses. Complete the bouquet with pearl embroidery and seed beads, filling the space between the flowers as you wish.

In order for the bag to keep its shape, lay a piece of crossbar along the contour of each finished circle, overlapping the ends with each other, and knit it, securing it with a “crawfish step” so that the crossbar is inside the posts.

Then knit the RLS side part - a strip 8 cm wide and 60 cm long. Connect the sides of the bag with the side part using a “crawfish step”, leaving 18 - 20 cm for the entry of the arms at the top of the bag. Cut out and sew the lining, insert it into the bag and secure with small with blind stitches along the top edge and along the side of the bag. Sew a magnetic clasp inside the bag.

Next, do the handles. Tie 4 sc rings, sew them to the bag on each side of the edges of the cut for the arm entry. Tie 2 caterpillar cords 55 cm long, thread the ends of the cords through the rings, bend them to a height of 3 cm and sew with bobbin threads.

Knitting pattern:

Master class on crocheting a round red women's bag with a pattern - here

Materials:

  • red satin ribbons 12 mm wide, consumption 230-250 m
  • hook No. 5
  • monofilament (fishing line)
  • magnetic button (for clasp)
  • crossbar (gross tape) 5-6 mm wide, consumption 1 m

The main elements of the handbag are 2 identical circles. We knit a circle according to pattern 1. Knit 12 double crochets (DC) into a ring of five chain stitches and continue knitting the circle, evenly adding 12 DC in each subsequent row. Having knitted 6 rows, we finish knitting. The resulting circle is made from 84 DCs.

To give rigidity to the connected circle, we lay crossbars along the contour of the last row and tie it with a “crawfish step”. Knitting begins with single crochets, but from left to right. For this:

  • insert the hook into the column of the underlying row, but to the right of the hook,
  • make a counterclockwise movement with the head of the hook,
  • stick the hook into the hole,
  • insert under the working thread,
  • we throw an air loop,
  • we stretch the air loop,
  • knit 2 loops together. One column of “crayfish step” is ready.

The loop is formed by pulling the loop in place.

Having prepared 2 parts in the shape of a circle in this way, before continuing work, steam the connected parts with a hot iron through a damp cloth. Proceed to knitting the sides of the handbag. To do this, knit 65 DC along the contour of the circle, inserting the hook under the crossbar. In this case, the part is facing you with the wrong side. Turn the knitting to face you and knit the 2nd row of Dc on 65 loops. The middle 19 loops of the circle remain free.

Steam the sides, fold the parts right sides inward and tie the loops of the sides in pairs with single crochets.

Use a magnetic button as a clasp for your bag.

The handle of a crocheted round women's bag is a 30 cm long caterpillar cord. Make 2 chain loops without tightening the initial loop. Insert the hook into the initial loop of the chain and knit a single crochet, insert the hook under 2 threads located from the bottom right, grab the thread and, turning away from you to the left, pull through 2 loops on the hook, then, again grabbing the thread, knit 2 loops (single crochet), turning the cord away from you. Insert the hook again under the 2 loops from the bottom right and work a single crochet stitch, turning the cord. Next, knit a single crochet, inserting the hook under 2 threads from the bottom right, turning the cord away from you. Knit loosely without tightening. The handle is sewn on with monofilament.

The handbag is ready, you can start decorating it.

Handbag made from ribbons “Present”

Print Handbag crocheted from satin ribbons Author of the handbag Yulia Bedina. The bag is crocheted from satin ribbons as a birthday present. Bag size: 22 x 33 cm.

For knitting you need: 125 m of satin ribbon 12 mm wide; 240 m of satin ribbon 6 mm wide; two meters of white, milky and brown ribbon 3-5 cm wide (for rosettes); beads and beads; regelin; button or Velcro; hook No. 4 and No. 3.

We knit in two ribbons to give the bag more strength. Using crochet hook No. 4 and 12 mm tape, we make the bottom of the bag. To do this, we collect a chain of 30 chain loops and tie it with single crochets according to the pattern. The result is an elongated oval; if desired, it can be expanded by tying several more rows of single crochet.

We tie the finished bottom of the bag with 1 row of the “working step” (for the front loop of the column).

Using crochet hook No. 3 and 6 mm tape, we make the main part of the bag: double crochet the back loop of the last row of the bottom. At the same time, we knit pegelin into the first row of the main part of the bag. At a height of 22 cm we finish knitting.

Handles: with 12 mm tape and hook No. 3, we collect 90 chain loops and tie them on both sides with a single crochet.

Valve: at a distance of 9 cm from the edge of the bag, attach a ribbon 12 mm wide and double crochet to make a piece measuring 15*16 cm.

We sew handles to the finished bag, add a button (or attach Velcro). We decorate the bag with beads, seed beads, and roses from satin ribbons.

Master class bags

How to tie handles to a bag -

We will need the following materials:

— satin ribbon 1-1.5 cm wide, 10-14 rolls;

— satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide for small flowers;

— satin ribbon 4 cm wide for roses;

- beads;

- a piece of tulle to decorate the front wall;

— rigelin;

- fishing line, monofilament or strong threads in the color of the ribbon;

— magnetic clasp;

- hook No. 5-6.

Let's get started!

I was again unable to purchase a large amount of ribbon of the same color and width. Therefore, I had to take a variety, 2-4 rolls of each color, but related shades. But I wanted a chocolate color :) No luck... I had to combine them.

I knitted according to the standard oval knitting pattern with single crochets.

Ribbon width 12 mm, hook No. 5. The hook was in the hands of my husband, he used it to pick out some kind of glue from a bottle :) It was not possible to clean it completely, only the “knitting” part... So I apologize for the inelegance of the hook in the photo :)
I knitted it exactly according to the pattern. I cast on 12 air loops, then 2 more for lifting, and in the third from the edge (that is, the outermost one according to the pattern) I knitted 3 single crochets. Next we knit 10 stitches straight, in the last loop we again knit 3 stitches at once, then again 10 stitches straight (one in each loop). Having reached the end, we connect the row with a half-column.
In the next row, in each of the three columns, we knit 2 columns (it turns out there are already 6 of them in the semicircular part), then again 10 columns exactly up to the second semicircle - 2 columns in each of the three, again 10 columns exactly, connected with a half column.
We start the third row by knitting two stitches in the outermost stitch of the semicircle, the next one is a single stitch, then again 2 stitches and the next one is a single stitch. This turns out to be 9 tables in each semicircle. And the straight section on both one side and the other remains unchanged - 10 columns.
So, we continue, increasing the number of single columns between the double ones in each row by one. I knitted up to 13 stitches, that is, one double, 13 single, again 1 double, 13 single, again 1 double, 13 single, 10 stitches for a flat section, then a second semicircle similar to the first - one double, 13 single, again 1 double, 13 single, again 1 double, 13 single, 10 columns, a flat area, a connecting half-column. All. One half of the bag is ready. The perimeter is 110 columns.
Since I had different colors of ribbon, I started with the lightest one and finished with the darkest one. It took 3 rolls for one half.

We knit the other half in the same way.
Then we take the crossbar. I have it in the form of a ribbon, flat. It’s better, of course, to use a round one, but I haven’t found one. When I knitted my first handbags, I didn’t have any at all :) And instead of a crossbar, I inserted a regular telephone cable to fix the shape.

We cut off a piece of crossbar equal to the length of the perimeter of the knitted half of the handbag, with a margin of 2-3 centimeters. The perimeter can be measured with a measuring tape or string. Then I wrap the crossbar around the perimeter, eyeballing what kind of overlap to make at the junction. I connect by slightly heating the ends with a lighter and pressing them together. And to be safe, I add a couple of more turns of transparent tape on top. When we release the glued crossbar, it will take the shape of a circle.

Just right for a round handbag, but ours is oval! There is no need to be afraid. During the tying process, the crossbar circle will be fixed and hold the oval shape.
We tie it in a crayfish step. We press the crossbar to the knitted fabric, tying it together with the fabric.

Then, from the middle of the upper part of the bag, we count 15 crochet stitches and from the inside we begin to make the binding with regular single crochet stitches. I make exactly 80 of them. This is to make it more convenient to connect parts during assembly.

It's the same with your other half.

We knit the insert for the side and bottom in a single fabric using regular single crochets. Since I was limited in the ribbon, and I wanted to emphasize the brown color, I saved the ribbon and knitted a not very wide strip. I would like it to be wider. Mine is only 8 columns wide. The length should correspond to the binding (80 columns), that is, 80 rows.

There was very little brown ribbon left, so I decided to make combined handles. Fortunately, I came across wooden rings, which will serve as the connecting link between the different parts of the bag handles. I am knitting small brown stripes that will be inserted into rings and sewn to the bag. Two for each handle.

From light ribbon I knit longer strips, 50 stitches. The stripes are knitted in the same way as the fabric of the bag, that is, according to the oval pattern. I cast on 50 loops, then 2 lifting loops, in the third loop from the edge I knit 3 single crochets, then 48 stitches, one in each loop, straight. In the last loop there are again 3 stitches, the rest right before the start of knitting. I connect it with a half-column and hide the end of the ribbon with a crochet hook in a strip of knitting. Don’t forget to singe the ends with a lighter so they don’t fray or fray :)
The small brown stripes were knitted in exactly the same way, only the number of initial loops was only 15.

From what is left I knit an inner pocket. I tied it around the perimeter with the last meters of brown ribbon. The top of the pocket is also tied with a crayfish step, but without the crossbar, of course :)

The first stage is completed - all parts are connected and ready for assembly.

As a rule, knitting takes one day.

Before we start assembling, let's start decorating the front wall of the bag. We prepare flowers and beads in the color of the general idea. If you have any questions, I can tell you separately how to make roses, buds and tiny flowers. So I sculpted them in abundance in the required shades, since I never have any idea what will turn out in the end and how many flowers will be used.

You can simply sew them onto a knitted fabric, but I prefer to make a backing from old tulle, which I have had in my storage rooms since Soviet times. Therefore, I can safely say that there is an element of vintage in the bag :) We cut out an oval from tulle, guipure, lace or other fabric that you like, which we try on.

Don't forget about the clasp! I forgot once... I had to tear off all the beauty from the top, insert a clasp, and then restore what was lost.

Therefore, first we insert and strengthen the fastener. My hands are already trained in forging, so I use my fingers :) Whoever has weaker hands - help yourself with a hammer or your husband :)

Then we sew the tulle onto the front side with monofilament. And we begin to sew on the flowers. That is, we will “draw” with tape! My favorite part of the job!

I started sewing with monofilament thread, which suddenly disappeared during the process. After a half-hour search, the coil was found in the cat's house, already very well chewed and tangled. I didn't bother to unravel the pieces. I threw the cat's misbehavior into a bucket and stole a spool of thin fishing line from my husband, which I successfully used to sew on everything else.

Advice from Murochka - I use about 150-300 m of ribbon 1 cm wide for handbags.

Satin ribbon 1-1.5 cm wide, 10-14 rolls;

Satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide for small flowers;

Satin ribbon 4 cm wide for roses;

A piece of tulle for decorating the front wall;

Rigelin;

Fishing line, monofilament or strong threads in the color of the ribbon;

Magnetic clasp;

Hook No.
